Blog #17: Lip Sleep (Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Review)

Remember how I attended that awesome Glamping sesh of Laneige at the Blue Water Day Spa weeks ago? To refresh you, I went there to know about the latest formula of an old fave, the Water Sleeping Mask. I came in expecting to just try out this product but to surprise, surprise! I got to try out its lip counterpart!

  

This one I was so excited to try out since I read Ryan Roar's post on it. So, giddy me took it out for a test ride!

I opened the travel kit first since we go home to my in-laws during the weekend. It's very handy dandy as it's in a teeny weeny box that packs even its applicator.

Before I show you the end result, let's do a BEFORE/AFTER thing first (excuse the gross, chapped, terrorized lips haha):

I think some will ask hot it looks when put on. Well, it looks like your average lip balm except it feels heavier and stickier (strands of hair attached to it when fanned). Better I show you:

It's hard to ignore the feeling (LOL). But I told myself, this too shall pass and will be worth it!

As soon as I woke up the next day, I rushed towards my vanity to check the progress:

I love how the old, yucky, chappy layers started coming off once I slightly tissue off (as seen in second photo).  If you noticed, the first photo already shows the chapped layers softening which made it easier to scrub off with the back part of my toothbrush. Yes, I scrub my lips using the back side of my toothbrush since it has ridges that can scrape on excess layers of skin (plus it's cheaper and more convenient).

I found out that this sleeping mask melts away the dry, dead skin of our lips and moisturizes with Vitamin C-rich berry Mix Complex as we sleep so that we wake up with a smooth, supple lips the next day! 

Over-all, I'm soooooo happy with this product! It solves the issue I've been facing for so long. Temp in our country is so hot so it's very easy to have dry lips. Having this in my kit is a quick fix for stubborn days. After using this, I didn't need to apply lip balm before putting on lippie since my lips' are already a smooth canvas. Only con is that it feels heavy when put on but otherwise, this item is a hit!

Blog #16: (Korean Web Drama) We Broke Up Episode 8 Recap Part 1

Let me start by saying congratulations to the WBU cast! Read that they hit daebak with over 7 million views in total! WOW!!!

So yeah, in honor of the 7M views, I'm doing a special recap of episode 8 with screencaps galore! (You can use them but please make sure to credit this site, ok?)

Episode 8 opens with Woori (Sandara Park) reflecting on Hyun Woo's (Jang Kiyong) words.

Aaahh... Hyunwoo's so persistent which leads to a woorisome Woori! (See what I did there? hehe) 

Anyway, the scene transitions to Wonyoung and his buddies discussing their stint on "Volume Up Stars". It's a pretty rare case says Yoon Ni-na (Kang Hyoni).

Wonder what Wonyoung's thinking about. Is Mino going to be ok? Is Seunghoon bugging Bom-noona? Is Jiyoon getting prettier?


Meanwhile, Woori's doing pretty good too.

Yeah... love that secret exchange of smiles between Woori and Hyunwoo. *SIGH*

But wait, things aren't as smooth in Woori's workplace as we think.

Uh-oh. We're in trouble.

OTTOKE! What will Woori do???

Thankfully Hyunwoo stood up for her.

But little Miss Bish is basically salty and will not hear the end of it.

God I hate that girl! ARGH!!!


Since Woori's down, Hyunwoo thought of a way to make her feel better.

While Wonyoung is still pretty lost.

The next day, Woori's boss is still bitchin' around. Haha

Blog #15: MISSION: MOFWM (Make Oppa Fall With Make-Up)

Let's admit it, KPOP idols are so effective in selling make-up and why not? They have the perfect porcelain skin, doll-like eyes and irresistible aegyo. I'm sure I'm not the only one who passed by Banila Co and thought, 'maybe I can also be flawless like Jessica if I use that' and chill with the rest of SNSD. (Excuse my delusions hehe)

But as pretty as female idols are all dolled up in the latest, trendy cosmetics in the market, there are actually men who are also effective in making me think twice about skipping on that indulgent Korean skin care. Men who casts a spell on us making us think that if we use their products, they might actually like us (in a universe where unicorns and spongebob exist in real life). haha

Now, I ask you. Who are the hotties you want to cast a spell on? Which make-up will you buy to make oppa fall?

10. INFINITE L for Shara Shara

Okay. He might look gay in his Shara Shara ad but we cannot deny this man of his natural handsome qualities. I mean, look at him. He has feathers all over and wearing ruffles. How can you not fall? 

9. CNBLUE Yonghwa for Shu Uemura

Imagine sitting in your vanity table leisurely putting on your Cushion BB when suddenly, CNBLUE's main vocals, Yonghwa, serenades you from your window. How can you not pick up a basket and haul?

8. TVXQ (Yunho and Changmin) for Missha

I don't know if it's Yunho's fierce stare or Changmin's odd resemblance to Jerry Yan that endears me to this group. But yeah, these two have charms that can make any girl run to their nearest Missha and overdose on beauty shopping.

7. SUPER JUNIOR for Tony Moly

 

They won't say 'Sorry, Sorry' for making you splurge on Tony Moly's latest line-up and I'm sure you won't either. Super Junior is prolly the most fun KPOP group around and their cute antics show in their Tony Moly ads.

6. SUPER JUNIOR Siwon for Mamonde

This cutie is wacky as hell as his SUJU bros but when the spotlight's on and he gets into his signature dreamy smile (SIGH). No wonder Mamonde picked him (and his fangirl armies' ability to hoard haha).

5. JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu) for Tony Moly

Insert fan scream. Back in 2008, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu were part of TVXQ OT5 owning the world of KPOP. Now, they just own Tony Moly's hot ads and well, the hearts of many fan girls.

4. 2PM Nichkhun for It's SKIN



Nichkhun - geesh, where do I start? Tiff must have saved a nation to have dated this hottie (that or she's just extremely goddess tier). This thai cutie's It's SKIN cf's are always swoon-worthy, making fan girls all over wishin' they be the girl next to him.

3. BIGBANG G-Dragon for The Saem

Who would have thought GD, YG's swag lil GD, would ever endorse make-up? I didn't see that coming and I definitely did not see him nailing his The Saem shots like a pro! He's a real heartbreaker on his ads. 

2. SHINEE for Etude House

I squealed. Like a pig being butchered, I did when I saw SHINee's Kiss Note CFs with Sandara Park. And how can I not? Each member showed their own charms while trying to steal Tokki's sweet lil kiss. These boys are still ruling the make-up scene and only fell short of the number one spot due to a bigger numbered boygroup (AWOOO). 

1. EXO for Nature Republic

Yes, I succumb to their growl (excuse the pun haha). But seriously, EXO's been making waves as the boygroup trend these days. From their quick rise to fame to their untimely EXO-M exodus issue, their 3-lettered name is widely-recognized. It just makes sense that Nature Republic bagged them as their official endorser along with SNSD's leader, Taeyeon.

Sorry If I made you drool and look for quick fix. These guys just make beautifying even more fun while they look at us from the packaging of our products. The sad life of a fan girl.
